Spiraling out! A bunch of ways to spin it on Doubles Trapeze
A double point trapeze doesn’t want to spin, but that’s not going to stop us from exploring spiraling movements!
Level: All levels
We’ll break material down into clear, digestible segments, investigate how transitions are shaped by connection and listening, and work toward “hitting” moments of synchronicity—where effort, timing, and intention align.
Duo Trapeze: Hitting Synchronicity
Explore what it means to move together, DuoTrapeze style. In this workshop, students will learn a short duo trapeze sequence with an emphasis on timing, shared decision-making, and mutual awareness in the air.

Straps & Partner Acro
No partner required!
Duration
Workshops ideally 90 minutes - 2hrs
Straps
We’ll break the sequence into digestible segments, examining each section for key technical details, engagement patterns, and momentum mechanics.
Spintastic! Partner spinning on Straps
Partner up under the straps and get your rotation on! In this workshop, students will learn a short duo straps sequence focused on shared momentum, clean mechanics, and controlled exchanges.
We’ll break the sequence into digestible segments, examining each section for key technical details, engagement patterns, and momentum mechanics.
New to straps? No problem — we’ll introduce foundational wraps, proper engagement, and safe approaches to spinning with a partner.
Prerequisites: Students should be able to hang in a long-arm (overhead) position in a hollow body.

Partner Acrobatics
+Prerequisites: None
Acro
We will explore some traditional basing & flying skills, focusing on counterbalance, leverage, communication, & trust! We will have some opportunities to experiment with same & different size partnering (pairings), which will help more fully demonstrate the roles that mass, strength, and stability play in partner acro.

Strike a Pose - get your vogue on! (Silks)
We’ll explore theory, inspiration, & limitations which will inform & guide our exploration on & off the ground. We’ll identify & play with some common & unique wraps, blocks, wedging & balancing that lend to ultimate shape-making opportunities in the air. From the simple to the complex, get ready to explore wraps which create structure & support. We’ll experiment with force principles such as resistance, tension, pinching, wedging, blocking, posting, & balancing. We’ll identify the shapes we gravitate toward as individuals as well as our personal preferences for aesthetics. We can’t all contort, but we can focus on incorporating the shapes our bodies like to make - & look good making - into our movement practice!
Level: ALL (beginner & beyond)
Prerequisites: None.

The Path of Least Resistance (Silks)
Efficiency of movement is the key to fluidity. Follow the path of least resistance & access effortlessness in the air!! In this workshop we’ll compare & contrast a variety of entry & exit methods for fundamental skills which demonstrate varying degrees of resistance. We’ll also examine how different pathways, spatial orientation preferences, strength, flexibility & other individual factors come into play when we’re seeking to identify our preferred paths, favorite shapes, & movement efficiency.
Level: ALL (beginner & beyond)
Prerequisites: None.
Level: Intermediate
The Road Less Traveled* (Silks)
We know there are many paths that lead to (& out of) any given skill. In this workshop we’ll explore non-traditional paths & transitions that lead us into & away from familiar places. Get off that beaten path & tread some new ones! We’ll look at contrasting what we gravitate toward (individual patterns & go-to’s) in order to shift our perspective & reframe ourselves in relation to our apparatus. Seeing things from an alternate vantage point, we ignite our creativity in the air!
Level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Background in aerial strongly recommended to get the most out of this workshop (general understanding of common aerial language & terminology more critical than physical ability to execute skills)
Level: ALL (beginner & beyond)
Crochet all Day (Silks)
Crochet all day (exploring the fundamental crochet wrap, touching upon the theory that "there is only one wrap"). We’ll explore applications of the crochet across varying body parts & orientations. We’ll stack it, we’ll lock it, heck we might even drop it!
Level: ALL (beginner & beyond)
Prerequisites: None.
Level: Intermediate+
Foolish Transitions & Inefficient Pathways* (Silks)
Aerial movement is all about elegance, control, and efficiency—moving with grace and purpose. We often link our favorite skills together logically, so that our transitions are most seamless. But what if the beauty lies in the detour? In this workshop, we’ll chase the scenic route: weaving together skills through curiosity, resistance, and a touch of folly. This is an invitation to wander, to get lost mid-air, to let “mistakes” become maps. Because sometimes, the foolish path reveals what efficiency never could.
Level: Intermediate+
Prerequisites: Students who have an abundant repertoire of silks skills & a solid grasp of vertical theory will get the most out of this workshop.
Level: Intermediate+
Belay all Day* (Silks)
Get curious about the belay! Explore many ways to play your way into & with this fascinating loop. We'll look at the fundamental construction, some common entries & exit strategies followed by exploring several unique entries including a split loop (two loops) variation.
Level: Intermediate+
Prerequisites: Folx who are comfortable in single & double footlocks will get the most out of this workshop.
Level: Intermediate+
In Tandem (DuoSilks)
Partner up in the silks for top fun! We’ll explore aspects of duo vertical work including weight sharing, counterbalance, mirrored shapes, & traditional hand to hand.
Level: Intermediate+
Prerequisites: Folx should be able to hang out in the air comfortably for 3-5 minutes & invert unassisted. Duo work in the silks is forearm-intense!
Level: ALL (beginner & beyond)
It’s all in the grip (bar apparatus & vertical)
Orientation through lens of grip - exploration of finding our way around our apparatus using grip as a means to evoke our next movement.
Level: ALL (beginner & beyond)
Prerequisites: None.
